Hiring a Chief Architect for major portal implementation with focus on portal technologies, SOA, and commercial portal and SOA solutions for a user base extending beyond 5 million users. The applicant will lead a team of engineers with varying experience levels. The successful candidate will leverage their portal skills to interpret business requirements, design, develop prototype, implement, and support web portal, content management, and content delivery systems supporting the Sales and Marketing organization. A key initial component of the position is to work with a 3rd party vendor during the development cycle of the portal in order to understand the portal environment, document the environment and processes, and perform a communication and knowledge transfer to the Technical Team. The candidate must have extensive knowledge of J2EE Portal Frameworks, Web Application Servers, Java, J2EE, Ajax, HTML, JavaScript, XML, Oracle and Documentum Web Content Management and should possess the ability to effectively communicate with project managers, quality assurance team members and other IS/IT staff in order to provide the appropriate technical solution for the Sales & Marketing organization.

Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field, with 7+ years in software development and systems integration.

The applicant must have proven leadership in the relevant technology areas, 3-5 years experience successfully leading the implementation of large-scale portal solutions.

Demonstrated knowledge of Business Process Management tools (i.e., JBOSS BPM, WebSphere Process Choreographer, etc.)

Demonstrated knowledge in project and resource management.

Must speak and write English fluently.

Portal server administration is a plus.

We would also consider applicants with knowledge of .Net Portal Frameworks, but the applicant will be expected to learn new J2EE portal frameworks.
